No, T-Mobile has no unveiled their 3G network yet. And it’s probably eating them up inside. They’ve already launched two devices for it, and a rumored launch date has come and passed. Well, here’s the third in the series: The newly FCC-approved Samsung t819. It’s a nifty slider with a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD, BlueTooth — all the standard accoutrements. The only issue is that it currently only runs on EDGE.

Chances are, though, that when T-Mobile finally does launch its 3G network, this baby will use that network. No guarantees, but it’s pretty apparent at this point.
T-Mo is also rumored to be grabbing the Palm Centro, a more compact and consumer-friendly version of the company’s headliner, the Treo.

Sprint had a three-month exclusive deal on the Centro, which is about to expire. Now it looks like T-Mobile and AT&T are set to pick it up. Yeah, the Centro is doing a bit better over at Sprint than either company had expected. And if it’s doing well on Sprint, it should be the toast of the town on actual networks, like AT&T and T-Mobile.
(Sorry. Can’t resist a dig on Sprint.)
You can check out the specs of the Centro in the above image. It’s nothing groundbreaking. Rather, it’s a simple, small phone that does the job of a much bulkier one. Sometimes you don’t need to re-invent the phone for people. You just need to get the existing model right.
