Anyone remember TurboGrafx-16? Oh, come on. It was supposed to be the next generation video game system. Before Super Nintendo, before Genesis. But, like its ancestor Neo Geo, it never caught on. But you can nab a TurboGrafx emulator for the iPhone. I’m sure a Neo Geo emulator is in the offing. The only problem, of course, is that there are no physical buttons, seeing as it’s the iPhone.
- FCC Chair Kevin Martin still supports waiving early termination fees until after a consumer receives his or her first bill. It makes sense. That is, unless it’s conditioned on a class-action suit waiver. In that case, no way. I’d like to be able to sue a company if it is truly doing wrong, thank you very much.
- Ready for a whopper of an iPhone rumor? Someone wrote in to Boy Genius Report saying that the Apple Store on 5th Ave in NYC was closing between 1 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday (true), in preparation for an iPhone release. Turns out, it’s for the filming of a commercial — hey, maybe an iPhone commercial. Some people are way too damn gullible.
- Quallcom has a smaller Bluetooth chip. Sweet deal. Now maybe we can fit more little devices — that is, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth — under the hood of some of these smaller phones.
