HTC seems to be gaining some traction, as they’ve had devices picked up by the major wireless carriers over the past year. We could be seeing some new offerings from them in the future. And it looks like another class-action for a couple of the big boys.
- It looks like we could be seeing two new HTC devices in the near future: The Rafael and the Diamond. For the Rafael, expect a full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, a 3-megapixel cam, and aGPS support. The Diamond looks to be similar, except no mechanical keyboard.
- Speaking of HTC, Alltel is upgrading the Touch to EVDO Rev. A. For a quick explanation of what that means, check out a post we did last month, when Sprint upgraded the HTC Mogul to EVDO Rev. A.
- T-Mobile is looking to offer Android by year’s end. This a day after we found out that T-Mobile is taking an open initiative.
- Ever hear of the Fair Credit Reporting Act? There’s a provision in it that a business accepting credit and debit cards must limit the amount of information on bills and receipts. Well, Alltel and Verizon are being sued for allegedly violating this provision. We’ll see how this moves forward.
