Just a few links rounded up late Friday and over the course of the weekend. And no, you didn’t read the headline wrong. There seriously is a bit about water-powered phones.
- Samsung’s engineers are working on a way to power cellphones with water by 2010. That’s just two years off, and it’s definitely do-able.
- The guys at Samsung have been extra busy lately. They’ve patented a cellphone system that responds to gestures. This will be done via a front-facing camera. Touchscreen? HA!
- You might have seen reports that AT&T has laid of 4,000 employees. Normally, that would be fodder for a full power. However, none of those casualties were in the mobile division. In fact, they say they’re going to hire in that division.
- T-Mobile has finally joined the paperless billing party. I can’t tell you the last time I got a paper bill in the mail…for anything.
