Bills, bills, bills. They’re the the number one area of frustration for recent graduates, middle-aged folks, and seniors. Basically, everyone who has any amount of responsibility. Yet they’re not going away any time soon. So it’s nice when the act of paying the bills, always the worst part, becomes a little bit easier. AT&T has announced a partnership with CheckFree, which will allow customers to pay their bills through over 3,000 financial institutions.

They can perform the transaction right through their bank’s website. AT&T will forward bill information securely to the bank, which customers can view. It will also archive bills and payments, and give customers various payment options.

“Customers today are demanding choice and convenience in how they view and pay their bills online,” said Brian Daly, director, AT&T Mobility. “They enjoy the simplicity of being able to manage their bills at their individual banking service provider, so they can consolidate their finances in one central location online. Our goal is to provide customers with a variety of billing and payment options so they can choose the method that best meets their needs.”

Daly hit the one key word in all this: consolidate. You can already pay your AT&T bill online, true. But this new partnership allows you to pay it at the same place you also pay a number of other bills. So you’ll never forget. Or at least that’s the idea.
